Help build a medical clinic in Baie D’Orange Jacmel Haiti
In Jacmel Baie D’Orange,Haiti an area where hospitals are scarce, roads are rough, and transportation is costly, there is a desperate need for medical help to be available to the masses of impoverished people. Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere which only contributes to the rampant and devastating diseases such as AIDS, typhoid, tuberculosis, and malnutrition. Gospel New Life has been meeting the basic human need of medical care for over 4 years. Originally founded by Bishop Robert Jn Pierre And missionaries Rev Reginald Ray, Kathy Mitchel Vicky Sister Florida, and a mobile clinic which travels to outlying communities void of any medical facilities. Prevention of diseases is crucial to improving the quality of life. Clinic programs include Family Planning, HIV/AIDS program, Health education, Nutrition Program, and Vaccination Outreach.
HIV/AIDS Program
Out of a population of 8.5 million, at least 200,000 people have full blown AIDS and it is believed that one person in every twenty is infected with HIV. With statistics this high there is a huge need for AIDS relief and education and expectancy of life for those suffering from AIDS. This enables people to continue to support their families which is especially important when the person is the only breadwinner in a family with multiple children. Over 50 AIDS orphans have also been helped with school fees, food, psycho-social support,

More Information About this Project
Project Needs and Beneficiaries
75% of births take place at home without any medical support in Haiti, and 1 in 5 children die before the age of 5. The main beneficiaries of this project will be babies, children and mothers who currently have no opportunity to receive any form of health
care or health education due to the extreme poverty they face. The unit will provide specific healthcare to pregnant women, avoiding any unnecessary and avoidable health problems within birth for mother and child.
Activities
With this service we will be able to reduce the child mortality rate and also monitor the children's growth from 0-3, provide health education and awareness, and tackle local diseases including Sexually Transmitted Diseases.
